Monday vibes, getting down to business with a beautiful walk (before the 🔥) and yoga, along with my 💯 squats for the day, taking on the challenge by @fittybritttty on Instagram ... this is the 5th day and it’s an awesome challenge! Shout out to @fittybritttty on Instagram for awesomeness in inspiration for movement!
As for today's outfit of the day (#ootd), you would NOT want to see it. It was a less than stylish pair of capris workout pants and a tee. They didn't even match :0 ! It was a day of cleaning, laundering my sheets (yay clean sheet Monday!) and cleaning out more of my home. Too much stuff to go through! Counting my blessings. There are those without said stuff, including a home. We actually got some rain yesterday, which we are so thankful for. It is something we are in desperate need of. Prayers have been answered. Now, please can we have a bit more.

I had the hardest time staying awake in church today! I had to stay busy on my phone or I would have fallen off the pew...which could have been embarrassing 😊
Not that those who spoke were not interesting. They were. It’s not getting to sleep until 3 am that makes is a bit of a 😴 fest. Glad to be home and about to take a nap, now that we had delicious burgers before it hopefully rains. . Sunday best doesn’t have to be expensive. Today, I am wearing comfy clothes that didn’t cost a ton, but look top notch. I won’t wear things that are not modest so I was sure to use my @modbodlayering tee under my top. BTW no pantyhose for this girl during the summer😎 because it is too hot and uncomfortable. Also, accessorized with a necklace from @malikadudley . Simplicity. Easy. Comfortable. Modest. . . . #modest #modestfashion #church #lds #ldsmom #ldschurch #jcpenneys #timeandtru #walmart #modbod #blacklabelbyevanpicone #sundaybest #ootd #fashion #sundayfashion #womensfashion Every year, my husband's side of the family...all of us...siblings, kids...all go up Big Cottonwood Canyon, to a little picnic area called Ledgemere. It's beautiful. We always cook breakfast. This year, we cooked bacon, hash browns, had muffins from Costco, strawberries and orange juice. We enjoy visiting and eating and sometimes hiking. It's really so relaxing. There is a nice, fast moving stream by the picnic area that adds a wonderful sound and drowns out traffic going up and down the canyon. Steve and I just got back from Chilli's, and our boys are up playing Age of Empires with their cousins. It was nice to enjoy time by ourselves. We always have a great time. You might say we are BFF's ;) ...yes, 20 years later, even better friends.
Life is great! Today, since my husband worked at home, I had a vehicle to run around and take care of a few things. So, I went to Fantastic Sams and got my hair trimmed. I've been going there for the past 12 years and the ladies there do a nice job. ...and yay...my hair is growing fast:) For more products like the one in the picture above and many other varieties of light products, go to https://sunnests.com It seemed really hot today. I went to Walmart to grab a few things and got in my car and felt like I was baking. A car's fan and air conditioning is like magic. Top that off with some awesome Amitra Water and I've got it covered. The rest of the day? Not good for a lot. I did yoga, chatted with my hubby, did a little laundry, worked on my Instagram stuff, and played Call of Duty. Now we are watching a bit of TV before bed, and are going to bed early so that we can get up for breakfast in the canyon.
This morning was a beautiful morning. A bit of foggy smoggy junk in the air that had settled into the valley from fireworks and from the wildfires. As you can see though, the sunrise for my walk was gorgeous. Our BBQ was great! We enjoyed awesome conversation and great food. We skipped the fireworks, due to the restrictions, but there were a ton of spectacular firework shows going on the whole way home from Salt Lake County to Utah County. Unfortunately, neighbors were doing fireworks, very loud fireworks, through a lot of the night. One of the things that we often neglect as parents, is taking care of ourselves. With all of the duties of being a parent, all of the responsibilities of life in general, we actually NEED to take more time taking care of our selves. If we do this, we can better take care of our families and all of the duties as an adult. Part of that is taking care of your skin. That is what the following video is about, I’ve been under the weather over the past few days. We all get that way at times. Bugs come around. We get worn out. Etc. Etc. . How do you pamper yourself back to wellness? . I’ve been leaning on my Osito eye massager because my sinuses have been causing me havoc. It helps with my ability to relax as well. It has heat and music, vibration, and an air pressure massage. . Using my Osito eye massager as a tool to get back on target, back to life, ready for the 4th. . Watching my son and his ability to interact with our cats. We call him the cat whisperer for good reason. One more thing...what do you think about my canvas prints from Elephant Stock? I just love them! Waterfall falling towards the inside of your home is good Feng Shui. That is fortune flowing into your home. |
