Today started out beautifully and is ending beautifully. A walk with my love, yoga, a trip to Costco, nice dinner and now a movie...Wonder Woman (one of my all time favorites). Costco was incredibly busy! One successful story that you may not know about is SexyModest Clothing. Look it up. Brigette has broken records with her designs, her pieces, her sales. Amazing! Inspiring! Who do I want to be like? Last night was a blast with my oldest son. It was the first rodeo I have been to (as far as I can remember). The energy there was wonderful.
I don't like how they treat the animals, but I know that it is tradition and that they work really hard at what they do. It's interesting, the things we do that have been tradition. The thing that was important about that time last night was spending it with my child (my adult child). That is what is important about me still working but being with my family in our family room, watching a movie. We are all on our devices, but we are together, enjoying something together.

It was a great evening for the Lehi Rodeo. Utah traditions. It was a time for me and my oldest son to enjoy some time together. I felt bad for the animals, But it was a great time. Yesterday, my husband I attended the wedding reception of my oldest son’s best friend. Life is really interesting. It flies by so fast. How am I old enough to have a son whose friend got married!?😮 I don’t feel that old. Hopefully, I don’t look that old. . . . #iamnold #weddingreception #adultchildren #mykidsareadults #momlife #utah #wheredoestimego #fashion #evanpicone #apt9 It was the perfect day for a nice walk and yard work. I love my walks fairly early when things are calm. I play motivational videos (on YouTube) and listen to them for the miles I walk. It’s the perfect way to start my day. Also, is anyone interested in buying a house in Saratoga Springs? We are in the process of getting ours ready to rock and roll. The video above is of our cat, named Elle, but who we ‘fondly’ call Hell. She complains LOUDLY about everything. I cannot buy enough catnip😂
I love being a social media influencer, being sent packages daily, and opening the packages to find beautiful treasures. It’s like Christmas nearly every single day.
The above is what I received today. It’s a set of canvases for my family room. The waterfall is positive Feng Shui when it’s directed toward the inside of the home. It symbolizes wealth and prosperity flowing into the home. I’ll post pictures when they are hung on the wall. So, what else did I do today besides opening this package? I cleaned. We had an issue with the garbage disposal last night, so I cleaned. There was a spot on the carpet so I cleaned. Let’s just say that nearly the whole house full of carpet was cleaned. You know how that is, right? You start to clean because of some little thing and before you know it, you have practically redone your home😂 Well, that’s how it goes with me anyway. Today was a lovely day. I went up to Salt Lake City for an appointment and then met my hubby for a gorgeous walk. There are trees called Linden trees that have the most fragrant flowers on them. Right now, there were quite a few of these trees that were heavy with the amount of blooms on their branches, and walking under their canopy is like heaven. We walked up by the governors mansion and around by the Masonic Temple. There is a building with condos do’s in the upper floors and businesses on the bottom that has these gorgeous courtyards that are framed in luscious blooms with grass in the center. All of this and time with my husband. A day like this is my favorite. I am luckiest for sure. Annual mammogram day. I’m a couple of months past due, but know enough people with breast cancer to know that is not the way I want to spend my time. While a mammogram is painful, it is something I am willing to do to prevent catastrophic. If you haven’t had your annual mammogram , be sure to get it. Just a PSA. Today was a special day for my youngest brother and his family. He was able to ordain his son, Payton to a Teacher in the LDS priesthood. We were able to be there and to socialize with family. Tim did a great job! I didn’t think I was going to be able to go because I have been really dizzy the last couple of days. But I needed to go, to get done up, to visit with family and to get out of the house. I love these visits! Regardless of religios belief, these moments are very special because they bring families and friends together. These are bonding moments.
Being that I was so sick for so long with late-stage Lyme disease, I am trying my best not to miss these kind of things. I’m trying to reassimilate back into society. I have felt like an outcast because my social skills were lacking and because I had not been able to attend bonding activities. I learned so much from the experience of being sick, totally growing as a person. While I missed so much, I also gained so much. Now is my opportunity to rebuild. I am rebranding myself. I am breaking out of my chrysalis. Me and one of my brothers, Marcus Daley, from last night at Camp Hope in Provo Canyon.
My brothers are amazing! How they balance work with home is beyond me. Marcus’ job as CTO for S&P Global Ratings keeps him out of town constantly...often out of the country (so his wife is amazing as well). He and I were attached at the hip when we were younger. We had a ton on adventures. I have fond memories. My other brother, Tim Daley is the CTO for ExeVision. He is always supporting his kids sporting events...(which are many). I was like a second mom to him when we were younger. We are 10 years apart on loves taking care of him. Now, he is someone I learn from. He is super important to me and an impressive man, to say the least. I love them, admire them, am amazed by them. Thanks for the awesome conversations last night boys! . . . #family #familygatherings #familiesareforever #familylife #brothers #siblings #family time #mybrothersarethebest #provo #camphope #provocanyon #nature #campfire We just got done visiting with family up at Camp Hope in Provo Canyon.
We cooked hot dogs and s’mores. We caught up and enjoyed each other’s company. It’s interesting how the dynamics change between siblings as you get older and all have families. Life is interesting. My favorite thing tonight was time with my hubby. Now to go home and shower off the campfire smell before bed. Love a good campfire but not the smell on my pillow. Hope you all had a fabulous Friday night. Don't forget to breathe.
